WP 5 – HTA & Health Economics
The Swedish Institute for Health Economics, IHE, facilitates economic evaluations and will develop a toolbox for study synopsis and protocol development, using the testbed clinical trials as use cases for how cost-effectiveness can be studied in the complex area of Precision Health in cancer.
Key Activities & Deliverables:
Targeted studies of the existing scientific literature on health economic studies in precision health and relevant areas from the wider field of oncology.
Review data sources in the milieu, potentially complemented with other readily available sources to establish how these can be utilized in a structured fashion to facilitate economic evaluations.
Using the testbed trial/s as a use case for how cost-effectiveness can be studied in this very complex area.
Generate supportive resources (“the toolbox”) for protocol development for instance regarding instrument selection and other elements of data collection for use in economic evaluations.
